"Under the Influence University" didn't have a content strategy, a brand voice, or a campaign playbook when I joined: just an idea for a show and an Instagram handle. I built all three from the ground up, research first, content second.

4 recurring weekly content pillars designed

20+ hashtags maintained in a branded hashtag library

7 competitor accounts audited for brand-improvement plan

1 giveaway campaign built end to end

"Under the Influence University" (UIU) is a cannabis-culture comedy series that was in development and pursuing distribution when I joined as Social Media Intern. That meant managing @uiucampus without an existing playbook: no established brand voice, no content calendar, no answer yet to what this account should even look like. I built all three.

Day to day, that meant researching cannabis culture and industry trends to inform content, designing a repeatable weekly content system, running a full competitive audit of similar accounts, and writing campaigns, including the account's first giveaway, while staying in sync with the show's real-world production milestones.

Let’s Build Your Strategy

Strategy before content, every time. This account taught me to research before I write: a competitive audit before a bio edit, a brand framework before a caption, a legal disclaimer before a giveaway goes live. Building a brand's presence from nothing meant every decision needed a reason behind it, not just a good idea.
